Every qualifying BlueMax-installed system includes a three-year on-site replacement warranty covering equipment supplied by BlueMax and BlueMax installation workmanship, subject to the written warranty terms.
What that means
If covered BlueMax-supplied equipment or installation workmanship develops a qualifying fault, BlueMax provides on-site support and replacement under the written terms.
Important exclusions
Accidental or deliberate damage, vandalism, theft, fire, flooding, lightning, electrical surges, pest damage, unauthorised alterations, third-party work, customer misuse, and external internet, router or power faults are excluded.

Yes, for a qualifying standard four-camera residential installation in the BlueMax campaign area. Standard cable routes, normal materials and work at standard accessible heights are included. Any non-standard access, building, network or electrical work is identified and priced before booking.
Can I view the cameras from my phone?
Yes. Hik-Connect live viewing, playback and configured notifications are included. BlueMax sets up the app on up to two compatible devices and demonstrates the essentials.
Does the system record continuously?
It can be configured for continuous local recording or another suitable recording schedule. BlueMax discusses the preferred setup and configures the NVR accordingly.
Are monthly subscriptions required?
No compulsory monthly cloud subscription is required for the included local recording and standard mobile-viewing setup. Your own broadband and mobile-data costs still apply.
Does AI detection distinguish people and vehicles?
The Professional system uses Hikvision AcuSense person and vehicle classification to help make alerts and footage review more relevant. Performance depends on camera position, scene conditions and configuration.
Can I speak through the camera?
Not through the standard DS-2CD1347G3-LIU, which has a built-in microphone for recorded audio but no speaker. A compatible 4MP camera with microphone and speaker can be specified at selected positions for two-way audio.
Is the Professional package 4K?
No. The Professional package uses 4MP cameras. BlueMax Enhanced offers premium 8MP / 4K coverage, with exact camera selection confirmed for the property.
How long will footage be retained?
Retention varies with resolution, frame rate, recording schedule, scene activity and the number of cameras. The included 3TB surveillance drive provides local storage; BlueMax can explain the expected range for your chosen configuration.
Can cameras be added later?
Yes. The included 8-channel NVR provides expansion capacity up to eight camera channels, subject to compatibility, storage and installation requirements.
What does the warranty cover?
The three-year on-site replacement warranty covers qualifying faults in equipment supplied by BlueMax and BlueMax installation workmanship, subject to the written warranty terms. It excludes events such as damage, theft, flooding, surges, unauthorised alterations, misuse and external internet, router or power faults. It is additional to your statutory rights.
How long does installation take?
Timing depends on the property, cable routes and camera count. BlueMax will confirm the expected installation window after reviewing your requirements rather than giving a one-size-fits-all promise.
Does the campaign offer apply to businesses?
The £899 allocation is designed for qualifying residential installations. Small businesses are welcome to enquire and BlueMax will provide the appropriate package and quotation for the site.
What is considered a standard installation?
Standard installation includes normal cable routes, standard materials and work at accessible heights within the campaign area. Specialist access equipment, extensive building work, unusually long routes, outbuildings, network remedial work and additional electrical work fall outside the standard scope.
